About Us and How to Contact Us

We are “The Original Family Collective” founded by Ros Allen who, as a busy new mum, found that finding just the right product for young family members took up a lot of unavailable headspace. Ros decided to bring the best small brands and the larger innovative brands together so that busy parents could experience an easy and enjoyable shopping experience. 

We work with a number of carefully selected “Partners” who provide the products in our online shop.

If defective digital content that we have supplied damages a device or digital content belonging to you and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.

Terms of Purchase

The Original Family Collective hosts products from a number of Partners. Our site will guide you through the necessary steps to make a purchase. Please ensure that all details you enter are correct as it is not possible to change the details once an order has been made.

Once you have placed an order on our site you will receive an email which confirms that the order has been received and accepted. A contract is formed with us at the point when you receive the “Order Confirmation” email. 

Depending on your purchase, you may be purchasing items from multiple Partners. If so, you will receive multiple confirmation emails confirming the delivery timeframes. 

Once the order has been placed it will be fulfilled by our Partners. If for any reason we are unable to supply a product which has been ordered, for example, if the product is out of stock, we will contact you by either telephone or email to arrange a later delivery, alternative product or refund.

Refund and Returns Policy

In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel any purchase and obtain a full refund within 14 working days from the date of purchase. 

Refund requests should be made in writing to and a full refund will be provided within 14 working days.

Should you consider that you have grounds to obtain a refund outside of the 14 day cancellation period you should email to set out your refund request. 

All refunds are provided in accordance with your statutory rights. Please refer to our Returns Policy for further information.

The Original Family Collective reserve all rights to discontinue the sale of any products for any reason without prior notice. In such circumstance a refund will be provided. 

Should you decide to purchase a gift voucher from this site then you will enter into a contract of sale with us at the point of sale. If you change your mind about purchasing you are entitled to a refund for the 14 days following the purchase.

  2. Look for the British Toy and Hobby Association’s (BTHA) Lion Mark. The BTHA trade association membership is that members’ toys will meet safe statutory requirements.
  3. Make sure that toys purchased are suitable for the age of the recipient. Many toys with loose parts may represent choking hazards.
